2 baby bears please...

These (there were two) cubs were no bigger than a large house cat. The mother was small and scraggly and looked under nourished. They were right off the side of the logging road. Everyday the crew and I wake, work and head home together seeing nothing but the bush and our beds. Come the weekend if we decide to head into a town it is always surprising to be amongst people, buildings, roads and civilization again. It is a constant and luminous reminder of our nature compared to "the uncarved block" nature "as is". Seeing these wild animals and edible mushrooms, moose, deer, cariboo, trout and century old trees comfort my mind and de-stress my life. These cubs will live everyday of there lives outside, under the stars, without facebook. Think about it. Oh, and this particular mushroom is NOT edible..
